VISION
Our vision is to help create disciples of Jesus Christ so that we might transform our community and our world. We do this by inviting others into relationship with Christ, reaching into our community, serving our world, growing in our faith, and worshiping God together.
PAST
Founded in September 1882, Chipley Methodist Episcopal Church South started in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Story with twenty people attending. The church building was completed in early spring 1883 and then replace in October 1920. The new building was paid off in 1927.

In 1939, three Methodist Conferences unite and our name changed to the Chipley Methodist Church. In 1958 the town of Chipley, GA becomes Pine Mountain, GA, but the name of the church remained Chipley Methodist Church. When The United Methodist Church was formed in 1968, we became The First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain.

The Family Life Center was added in 1991. The Annex was attached to the Parsonage in 1999 and became the church offices. The Christian Education Center was completed in the fall of 2004.
PRESENT
Our community consists of families and individuals in all age ranges and walks of life from executives to lay people. We have different backgrounds, different life experiences, different ways of doing things, and different preferences, but we come together for a common cause. We love making new friends and including them in the church family. Come as you are! You Are Welcome Here!
FUTURE
Even while we cherish our past and our present, we are bold enough to believe that our church's best days are still ahead of us. We believe that God is still working within us and through us to continue to change our community and world for the better. We sincerely hope you will consider joining with us and helping us make that future a reality. You are welcome here, just as you are!
